Problem
The pandemic severely impacted the tour and travel industry, leaving businesses struggling to survive. As a young and developing startup, Traval faced the urgent need to pivot and find new ways to sustain operations in this challenging environment.
Action
In response to the pandemic, we pivoted by launching a virtual event called Traval Live - Virtual Indonesia. We collaborated with travel influencers who shared their experiences through virtual tours and partnered with local tourism businesses to guide live tours directly from their regions.
Result
Using a combination of organic strategies and ads, we successfully boosted the reach of our virtual tours, attracting an average of 100+ participants per session from across Indonesia. This initiative ran for approximately one year, showcasing resilience and adaptability in challenging times.
